Worldee was originally created as a travel journal where travelers could save their adventures afterward. Today, the platform guides users through every step of traveling from inspiration and planning to preserving memories.
Worldee has set a goal to create the world’s largest database of high-quality travel itineraries helping everyone discover the world.
To achieve this, Worldee decided to use TikTok to build brand awareness, gain new app downloads and attract new user registrations.

A new channel to drive app downloads and new user registrations.

In November 2021, together with Worldee, we focused on defining the target audience, young people (18–30) who love traveling, enjoy discovering new authentic places, and prefer not to travel in large groups. Based on this target group, we secured the most suitable influencers for the effective promotion of the app.
We chose experienced travelers @zuzkaaacz and @snikolnacestach, whose audiences consist mainly of the younger target group in line with our requirements. We provided the creators with a brief, but we did not interfere with their concepts or video scripts to ensure the content remained as authentic as possible to their style.
We relied on the real experiences of our influencers and popular TikTok video formats such as tips and tutorials. We were also aware of the virtually unmatched position on Czech TikTok in the category of travel apps.
With Worldee, we agreed on the production of 8 videos, which we supported with paid promotion. We analyzed the performance of the videos after one month and, once the report was prepared, shared the results with the client.

What worked best in the videos?

Authenticity. Since the footage in the promotional videos came from the influencers’ home environment or their real travels, it felt highly trustworthy to viewers. In fact, it was often only near the end that the audience realized it was a collaboration. 
Tips and tutorials. In their videos, the influencers showed how the app helped them while traveling, presented their itineraries, shared their experiences on their profiles, and motivated their followers to download the app in order to view their travel plans.

Conclusion.

Worldee successfully captured attention on TikTok and achieved a very high number of app downloads. The loosely defined goal of gaining new app downloads and registrations from young TikTok users was exceeded beyond the client’s expectations. The brand awareness campaign was a success because we approached the platform with engaging, proven TikTok-style video concepts. It is highly likely that achieving the same results elsewhere would have cost the company several times more.
An interesting insight for us was that the majority of app downloads came from iOS devices, even though most TikTok users tend to use Android. We can also draw on existing online research about iOS user characteristics and recommend to our clients that they pay more attention to this target group. 
The foundation of our campaign’s success was undoubtedly the authenticity of the videos, as the creators we worked with genuinely use and like the app. As a result, the content didn’t come across as annoying advertising but rather as authentic advice from one user to another.
